Oh my God 58 check ins
I have to find a new Mexican restaurant though the food has been off the hook lately and the staff have remembered me and I actually have things I like ready to go like a margarita and guacamole dip.
For now things seem to have changed for the better -

I really dislike leaving bad yelp reviews, but I think today earned this negative review. I've been here several times since I was a kid and typically haven't had anything negative to say until now.
Firstly, my boyfriend is currently vomiting with food poisoning from lunch....so we will start with that. Upon entering today, there was nobody in the front to seat waiting customers. We waited for 10 min before actually walking back to the seating portion of the restaurant and practically seating ourselves - that should've been our first sign to leave. (The restaurant only had 2 other customers so no excuse to not have someone at the front; especially after waiting 10+ minutes)
We were seated outside, and our drink orders were taken but the server had a very difficult time understanding our order. (Melon margarita and a VIRGIN mojito as our friend is pregnant) the server took the order, came back twice to confirm he wrote the correct thing down. Shortly after someone else came and re-took our drink orders. Luckily they didn't mistake the Virgin drink but we asked for a blended pitcher and came out with what seemed like margarita in the rocks with melted ice? To be honest I'm not sure but it was probably one of the most disgusting margaritas I've ever had. I expected it to be orange or pink as it was "melon" flavor but came out bright green...we didn't let that stop us from drinking it until we tasted how disgusting it was and how it wasn't blended like we had asked. It would've been nice to have gotten that correct as the pitchers are practically $50!
The food itself was mediocre. Definitely nothing special. My boyfriend ate about half his plate before he started feeling sick and had to actually go and sit in the car laying down for the remainder of lunch. By the time what home we didn't even make it to the driveway before he started vomiting up his lunch.
I honestly didn't even bother calling to complain cause I'll honestly NEVER be returning here again! Service was horrible from the time we walked in, food sucked and drinks were even worse. Don't bother coming here. Didn't even bother taking pictures to post like I typically do as I just wanted to get out of here ASAP! I will say the chips and salsa were VERY good !!!! -

I've been reluctant to write a review because - while the service and food have been inconsistent over the past few years- I have so many fond memories of coming here in the 90s and early 2000s. Today I was finally pushed over the edge.
I went in to order guacamole and chips to go (to bring to a dinner) - then added Guad (bean) Dip for my kids. If you're counting, that's 3 things. The woman who took order had her Air Pods in and was mid conversation when she turned and welcomed me. I realized too late that she was trying to talk to someone on the phone whilst taking my order. She missed the first word I said: guacamole. She instead game me a party size tray of chips, and no guacamole. (My bean dip did come out!) When I pointed out the error she replied, "That's why I asked if you wanted salsa." I did not want salsa. I wanted guacamole. When I explained the misunderstanding, she said she didn't charge me for guacamole, but I could order some and pay. This whole experience cost me $27. -

First let me just say this place used to be amazing and was always my "go-to" for Mexican food. The last 3 times I have been there I have had horrible experiences. I have been overcharged, have had terrible service dining in and have been given completely wrong orders for take out. I always like to give second chances as sometimes people have off days and I can respect that but after so many disappointing experiences I can say I am finally done.
This time around, my carne asada super burrito was disappointing to say the least. Ordered two items for pick up and paid $35 (which is pricey if you ask me) for a burrito with nothing but rice in it. No meat, no beans, sour cream or guacamole and was covered in watery red salsa and a sprinkle of unmelted cheese. The second item I ordered, a combo of Chile relleno and chicken enchilada, had only cheese, no meat, no beans and just rice.
Needles to say, I think I have given this restaurant enough chances and will no longer be going here. Such a disappointment and so sad to see what used to be an incredible restaurant turn to crap.
One star only because zero isn't an option. -

With my meal I had an ice tea. Latter I asked for water with a lemon or lime in it. The waitress shook her head no and brought me a plain water. What? My tea didn't come with a lemon slice either? What kind of Mexican food place doesn't have any lime?
